  Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic synthetically derived from oxytetracycline. Doxycycline is primarily bacteriostatic and is thought to exert its antimicrobial effect by the inhibition of protein synthesis. Doxycycline is active against a wide range of gram-prositive and gram-negative microorganism.

  Infections caused by Rickettsiae, M. pneumoniae, lymphogranuloma venereum, B. recurrentis, H. ducreyi, Bacteroides spp, Brucella spp Infections caused by microorganism that sensitive to doxycycline : E. coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Shigella spp, H. influenzae, Klebsiella spp, D. pneumoniae, N. gonorrhea, T pertenue, L monocytogenes, Clostridium spp, B. anthracis, Fusobacterium fusiforme, Actinomyces spp, Amubiasis intestinal, acne, trachoma, Inclusion bodies conuctivity
