  Trimetoprim and Sulphametoxazole in therapetical dose, each are a bacteriostatic. Combination of these drugs has a bactericide activity with a broad-spectrum antibacterial against pathogenic gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, such as Pneumococci, Streptococci, Staphylococci, Neisseria, Bordetella, Salmonella, E.coli, Klebsiella or aerobacter, Shigella, Vibriocholerae, H. influenzae, Proteus mirabilis and vulgaris. The antibacterial activity is by enzyme inhibitions that needed for folic acid biosynthesis microorganism. Combination of these drugs is also to reduce drug toxicity through decreasing medication dosage compare with single medication dosage.

  Cotrimoksasol for Adult : Each tablet contains of : Trimetoprim 80 mg Sulfametoxazol 400 mg Cotrimoksasol for children Each tablet contains of : Trimetoprim 20 mg Sulfametoxazol 100 mg Suspension : Each 5 ml contains of : Trimetoprim 40 mg Sulfametoxazol 200 mg

  
  
• Indikasi

  Urinary Tract Infection, such as pyelonephritis, pyelitis that caused by sensitive bacteria such as E. coli, Klebsiella, Enterobacter and Proteus. GIT Tract Infection, especially Salmonella and Shigella bacteria infection, such as thypoid, parathypoid and baciller dysentri. Respiratory Tract Infections, such as acute and chronic bronchitis by H. influenzae or Streptococcus pneumonia. Ear, throat and nose infection such as otitis media by H. influenzae or S. pneumoniae Other infections such as toxoplasmocis
